We hope everyone is doing as well as possible, staying safe, and taking steps to keep other people safe.
In addition to Posthuman work, we've been busy lately — Sprite has been moving house, and Adam's helping fulfill Nora's Ever in Her Sights kickstarter.
Here's an update on the Posthuman stuff!
Eclipse Phase Second Edition Print on Demand
You can now grab Eclipse Phase Second Edition in softcover from DriveThruRPG, in both Standard Color and Premium Color. If you're in the USA or Canada, these books will be printed and shipped from the USA. If you're elsewhere in the world, they'll print and ship from the UK!
In the past, we have not released print on demand versions of our hardcover books until those books are in low-stock situations and unlikely to be reprinted. Due to COVID-19 making worldwide availability of EP2 difficult we've taken this step to help out our international fans. We've always liked experiments — this is one of them.
Offset-printed copies of Eclipse Phase Second Edition are available from Posthuman.Shop, Indie Press Revolution, and game stores that order from IPR, ACD, or Alliance.
Print on Demand Kickstarter Rewards
Every single POD Kickstarter reward are all ordered and in Lightning Source's print queue. If you're in the USA or Canada, these books will be printed and shipped from the USA. If you're elsewhere in the world, they'll print and ship from the UK!
We'll be keeping our eye on their printing/shipping status and will update people as necessary
Overrun Print Pre-orders and PDF
When the Overrun PDF is made available to backers we will also open up pre-orders for the Print + PDF bundle. This is another experiment — based on the number of pre-orders we will be doing a short print run, but the absolute best way to get a copy will be via the pre-order. Roughly two weeks into the pre-order we will lock into the print run size, and within a month of that we expect to have the books in hand, ready to ship!
Overrun is a gatecrashing op for Eclipse Phase:
Introductory Scenario:Overrun is a stand-alone adventure designed for Gatecrashing Ops team.

Here's what keeps happening with the USB Key: every time I sit down to collate all the files and order it, I think "But we're so close to finishing this other thing and I want that to be on the USB Key!"

These projects are reliant on each other (they each share the expanded sample characters in the Character Pack) and as Overrun and Acrimony are both adventures we are working on revising their presentation in concert to be clearer and more friendly to people new to Eclipse Phase and new to gamemastering.
We'll open up pre-orders for the USB key soon as well, at the same price as they were originally offered for anyone who backed this Kickstarter. They won't be manufactured in quantities much higher than the pre-order numbers!

State of the World & Posthuman Studios

Hello backers,
It's a strange time to write an update. It's a strange time to be.
The state of the world and the state of business is changing quickly. Personally, we are all in official Shelter in Place states or practicing social distancing as much as possible.
Business-wise, we continue to work on Eclipse Phase projects, but the near future of the tabletop game business is murky: major distributors are suspending operations, some printing companies have done the same, conventions have been cancelled, postponed, or are in limbo. Amazon — the world's largest bookstore — is not buying books.
While we all work from home on a regular basis, the pandemic changes things: partners are also working from home, children aren't at school, schedules are disrupted.
Our immediate focus is on finishing ongoing projects and not opening new loops. This includes the remaining rewards and stretch goals from this Kickstarter project, all of which are in progress.
Eclipse Phase Second Edition Update
This week we updated the Eclipse Phase Second Edition PDFs, and the Character Pack, bringing them in line with the 1.2 errata. Most of the changes from 1.1.1 to 1.2 are minimal, especially on the mechanics level. We needed to complete this errata pass before handing Eclipse Phase Second Edition to our foreign translation partners.
Supporting Posthuman, Game Stores, Other Publishers

Our nascent Patreon will move out of beta status at the end of the month — supporting us on Patreon gets you access to extra channels in the Discord, sneak peeks at upcoming projects, playtest material, and more.
Our partnership with Atlas Games is ongoing, and you can order Eclipse Phase Second Edition (and other books soon!) directly from our online store, fulfilled by Atlas. We've added PDFs and Print + PDF bundles to our online store, which Budget and Support Posthuman options so you can tweak how much you spend on Print + PDF bundles. And we've made gift cards available in a few denominations.
We have temporarily suspended selling merchandise and other items from our online store — those that we would fulfill directly, and we'll keep evaluating the viability of resuming those sales/shipments in the coming weeks.
For game stores, several distributors in the USA are stocking Eclipse Phase Second Edition, and we're working on getting more — and international distribution deals — set up. As you can expect, this is slow going with COVID-19 occupying the time and attention of everyone in the fulfillment chain. If your friendly local game store is open, please support them. If they are not open right now and you can do so, please consider buying a gift certificate or contributing to them in some other way.
Future Projects
We will be doing some upcoming projects in print via direct pre-order, where the number of pre-orders helps us determine how large of a print run to make. Digital books will continue as normal, of course!

Shipping Updates + Router Case Files!

Hey Backers!
Thanks for your patience in waiting for this update. The holiday and holiday preparation ended up eating up a bunch of time over the last month, and Adam caught a hell-illness at PAX and has been sick to some degree for most of the month.
Let's keep this quick while getting you up to date:
American backers that added on for in-print books: they are on the way if not there already.
Canadian backers: our shipment is on its way to Canada and will then be distributed by Snakes & Lattes. Your tracking numbers will be sent when those individual shipments go out. These shipments will contain both EP2 and add-ons.
The Rest of the World except for Brazil: Holy crap, working with Atlas Games, we have found and executed a very fine shipping solution. You may have noticed that tracking numbers went out over the last week — orders have been individually packed and will be sent to the destination country, then forwarded to you. Your tracking status will not change until the package is forwarded to you, so do not be alarmed that they haven't updated yet. These shipments will contain both EP2 and add-ons.
Brazilian backers: Due to changes in Brazilian shipping regulations, we're going to need some additional information from you. We'll be contacting you about that by Monday, Dec 30th.

A Bite-Sized Shipping Update

Hello all,
All USA-based backer packages that should have included print add-ons went out with EP2 but without add-ons due to a misunderstanding about how a particular feauture in BackerKit works. In the realm of problems, this one is not that bad because it's easy to fix: as soon as the add-on books arrive in Minnesota, they'll go out to USA-based backers. You don't need to tell us that you didn't get add-ons, we know! :)
International shipments are still pending.
USB Sticks will ship worldwide by the end of January.
Next update will be by December 2nd.
And finally, Matt Bulahao, an artist we've worked with before, is having some rough times as his father recently passed away. Several publishers, helmed by Jacob Ross of Thunderegg Productions, have put titles in a $10 charity bundle to benefit his family. We've added Firewall to that bundle to help him out!

Hectic week. A lot more shipping happened. Many of you will have seen your tracking numbers by now, and books started arriving for some people on Thursday — awesome!
There have been some reports of people who had add-ons that they got their core books and not their add-ons: this was not intentional. We're looking into it and will get the rest of your books dispatched soon.
New Posthuman Studios Store!
As mentioned before, the USB keys will be shipping by the end of January from our modest shipping office in Minneapolis, which we've been working on setting up over the last few months to fulfill orders from our new online store which launched this week:
This store is a little bit of an experiment, and we’re really excited about some of the upcoming releases. Eclipse Phase t-shirts and our games will be available year-round, but the rest of the stock will cycle quarterly, giving us a chance to try out some limited edition merch (more pins!) and feature more artists and collaborators we’re jazzed about.
Adam will be at PAX Unplugged, December 6th-8th in Philadelphia. You can catch him at the Reliquary Game Studios booth (#3851) with some copies of Eclipse Phase Second Edition and maybe a few other treats!
